My Imdb links to a list of my favourite movies (in no particular order)

it’s a good way to strike up a conversation!

If i introduced myself at a bar, i probably said my name was magnus. he’s my alter-ego.

I like imagining real people - trying to figure out their needs and struggles to get an accurate idea of what their lives are like. When I research, I want to feel how the audience feels and know what they actually want - what’s important to this person when they are reacting to the world around them? When I think about writing copy like this, it’s always important to me that I believe in the product I’m writing about. When I work with something I believe in, I know I’m not just convincing someone that they should buy the product, but I’m informing them that the product is the best way to address the actual needs they have. You’re providing a solution rather than convincing someone they have a problem. I think there is a distinction there that makes the difference between a pitch that your audience will resist and an ad that resonates and does more than simply “convert”.

In my free time, I scratch my creative itch through scale model painting and miniature war-gaming. I relish seeing other hobbyists’ work, and it inspires me to start new projects (or several) that push my limits. My projects always start with a story or character, and I enjoy bringing narrative and soul to my hobby.
